PDO Thread Lift: The Non-Surgical Facelift, Explained

If you’ve noticed mild sagging along your jawline, cheeks, or neck but aren’t ready for surgery, a PDO thread lift may be the answer. It’s one of the most requested non-surgical treatments at our Brighton Beach studio — here’s how it works.

What is a PDO thread lift?

A thread lift uses fine, absorbable surgical sutures (PDO — polydioxanone) placed just beneath the skin to lift sagging tissue and stimulate your own collagen. Over the following weeks, your body absorbs the threads while new collagen firms and supports the area. You can explore the full treatment on our PDO thread lift in Brighton Beach page.

Thread lift vs. a surgical facelift

A thread lift is a non-surgical alternative for mild-to-moderate laxity — no incisions, no general anesthesia, and minimal downtime. Results are subtler than surgery, but so is the recovery: most clients return to normal activities within a day or two.

What it treats

  • A softening jawline and early jowls
  • Sagging cheeks and mid-face
  • Loose skin on the neck
  • The brow and eye area (a “fox-eye” lift)

Results and longevity

You’ll see an immediate lift that improves over 4–6 weeks as collagen builds, typically lasting 1–2 years. Thread lifts also pair beautifully with Botox and dermal fillers for a complete, balanced result.

Is it right for you?

The best way to know is a consultation. Our doctorate-prepared nurse injector (DNP) will assess your skin and recommend whether threads — alone or combined — will give you the lift you’re after.
